Cancellation Policy

Purpose

This policy ensures students, corporate clients and staff are fully aware of the way student fees and refunds are to be handled. This policy is designed to ensure that all students and corporate clients are treated fairly and with integrity when applying for refunds and that Casey Kosch First Aid Training complies with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 and other legislative requirements relevant to refunding client fees.

Scope

This policy applies to the delivery of short accredited courses and nonaccredited courses.

Fees

Upon receipt of your payment, you will be issued with an electronic receipt and a confirmation email from our website verifying that you are aware you are enrolled.

Application

All Students will indicate upon enrolment into any course that they have read, understood and have accepted these terms.

Refund Procedures

All refund requests are to be processed within ten (10) business days of the application being received and to be signed off by the Casey Kosch First Aid Training Accounts Administrator.

If an individual participant needs to cancel or reschedule their booking, notification must be provided to Casey Kosch First Aid Training at least 48 hours before the scheduled training time.

a.        If a request to re-schedule training is received 48 hours or more prior, the training will be rescheduled at no cost.
b.        If a request to cancel an individual’s training is received 48 hours or more prior, any course fee paid will be refunded in full.
c.        If an individual booking is cancelled without notice or with less than 48 hours notice, the full fee for the course remains payable.
d.        If the booking has been made by a third party, the third party will be invoiced for any nonattendance.

For group bookings and bookings for on-site training, notification to cancel or reschedule the training must be provided to Casey Kosch First Aid Training at least five (5) business days prior to the scheduled training date.

a.        If a request to re-schedule group or client on-site training is received 5 or more business days prior, the training will be re-scheduled at no cost.
b.        If a request to cancel group or client on-site training is received 5 or more business days prior, any course fee paid will be refunded in full.
c.        For cancellation of group/onsite training less than 5 business days before the scheduled training time, Casey Kosch First Aid Training reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the course fees.
d.        For requests to reschedule a group/onsite course received on the day of the initial course booking will incur a fee of $350 to cover trainer fees as we book trainers in advance.

Cancellation of a booking on the day of the training due to illness or hardship will require a medical certificate or notification from the course participant or employer confirming the reason for non-attendance.

a.        the booking can be re-scheduled at no cost, or
b.        if cancelled, a partial refund (up to 50%) may be given.

If Casey Kosch First Aid Training needs to cancel a course for any reason, public course participants will be offered an alternative date at no cost or a full refund more than 48 hours before the cancelled training. For corporate client on-site training, an alternative schedule will be arranged as mutually convenient, with notice of the change provided at the earliest opportunity.

Casey Kosch: Director & Trainer

Casey grew up in the Wimmera and has been a nurse for almost 15 years, working in various roles including Respiratory Nursing, Emergency and Intensive Care as a Critical Care Nurse.

Casey started her business after she and her farmer husband started a family. Casey wanted to stay working in health because she is so passionate about the industry, yet wanted to find a way to fit in her work around her young family, shearing, cropping, harvest and the general challenges of Murtoa farm life.

Anyone who knows Casey would be aware that she thrives on a challenge, and she has recently taken on a new business with the opening of Collins Booksellers in the Horsham Plaza. As part of this new challenge, Teagan and Gemma have come into Wimmera First Aid Training as Directors and Casey will be taking more of a “back seat” however she will continue to be a First Aid Trainer into the future, so you may just see her at your next course!

Gemma Neureuther: Director & Trainer

Gemma completed a Bachelor of Paramedic Science at Flinders University in Adelaide. After working and volunteering for SA Ambulance, Gemma moved to Horsham where she currently works full time as a Paramedic with Ambulance Victoria. Gemma also completed her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with the aim to teach graduate paramedics, ambulance community officers and community members. In her spare time, Gemma is a keen musician and enjoys hanging out and travelling with her husband Matt, friends and family.

Gemma is now a Director of Wimmera First Aid Training and looks forward to the challenges that business ownership brings, while continuing with the excellent legacy Casey has made within the community, offering high-quality and educational First Aid Training.

Gemma Cramer: Trainer

Gemma has been a paramedic with Ambulance Victoria for 17 years now. The first six years were in Metropolitan Melbourne, mainly in the eastern suburbs and the CBD. She came to Nhill in 2009 for a 3-month secondment and loved the people and the place so much that she decided to make the Wimmera her home. Shortly after moving, she met her now husband Aaron. They have two beautiful children together and own a local business.

“I like to help people to feel more confident if they were confronted with the scary situation of needing to render assistance to someone in medical need. I hope that I am approachable and able to share some of my experience to deliver my sessions with a ‘real life’ focus.”

Michelle Mills - Admin Support

Michelle has recently joined the business to offer help with back-end support. Her background is equine and she works as an Equine Podiotherapist, however has recently cut back on her work load as she is pregnant with a baby girl and due early 2027, desk work has been a real blessing as the belly grows! Her aim is to support the girls with the transition while Casey takes a step back from the business, and provide support as both Gemma and Teagan also work full time in their Paramedic careers.

Michelle likes to spend fun times with her young family, pugs Ralph and Lilly, horses and mini donkey Pepita and hopes to get their Haven house plans brought to life in the near future - fingers crossed!

 Large Group Bookings

At Wimmera First Aid we strive in being able to deliver your first aid training at the highest of professional standards. As of 2026 we are capping our class sizes to 16 people - with a minimum of 10 people (you can have a group smaller than 10 but will be charged for this number). This means we can ensure you are competent in passing our first aid and CPR classes at a high standard. If you are booking in a large group and have more than 16 staff we now will either have to

a. split the group into two or more to ensure numbers are below 16 OR

b. there will be an extra charge to bring in a second trainer
